Grant Details

DataClassroom’s Championing Data Literacy: Teacher Travel Grant aims to support the teaching and learning of data literacy by financially assisting teacher’s travel and registration to conferences. This grant’s mission is to foster growth and make a lasting impact in data literacy education by financial supporting individuals dedicated to sharing how they teach data literacy in their classrooms.

Eligible applicants must be classroom teachers who actively teach data literacy to their students as part of their curriculum. Applicants should demonstrate the integration of datasets and a data visualization and analysis tool into their teaching practices. Additionally, eligibility requires an accepted presentation proposal at a professional conference, with proof of acceptance provided as part of the application. The application must be submitted at least one month before the conference start date. Applicants must also be willing to share their presentation materials with DataClassroom.

Grant Amount: $1,500.00

Eligibility:

  • Must be a current classroom teacher

  • Teach data literacy to your students as part of your curriculum

  • Incorporate the use of datasets and a data visualization and analysis tool in your teaching

  • Have an accepted presentation at a conference showcasing how data literacy is taught in your classroom

  • Provide proof of presentation acceptance as part of application

  • Be willing to share their presentation materials with DataClassroom
